PERSONALITY:
Bovice is pretty down to earth. He has the tendency to not be too attached to any one thing and even if he misplaces something or makes mistakes of some sort he is quick to get over them. On other hand, if he gets something right or achieves a goal of some sort he doesn't get too excited. It's best to say that he has a high emotional threshold. He is however, confident in his own ability and has a rather positive attitude, although he doesn’t expect much of those around him. He is often seen over analyzing peoples actions or words simply for his own entertainment and is almost annoying in the fact that he attempts to break people down and categories them in his head as a certain mental 'type'. He is very competitive however, and will take any situation seriously if there is a chance that he might be out done in some way. Because of this competitive streak, he has lived by the rule 'To be good at everything you do, only do what your good at'. Thus if he doesn't excel in some aspect of his life, he most likely abandons it as a lost cause. His ultimate goal is to become perfectly mentally stable, without any hang ups or defenses, with a clear view of himself consciously, and with a positive attitude to top it all off.
In a battle situation, he generally keeps his cool, and unlike the average sadistic fighter, looks for the most convient and logical solution to each individual problem. Even when he is annoyed or in a tight spot, he will keep his thoughts to himself, and mainly shows any mal emotion as sarastic comments or facial tweeks. He is always curious to find original, sometimes tricky situations or jutsu, as he enjoys the challenge of working his way out of them. Even with his compeditive spirit, he will more then likely keep his own personal feeling or even moral aside for the most logical decisions for himself and his situation.

HISTORY:

Nara Clan Exile-

In the Nara Clan there was born a branch with a suprising side effect. Those of the Nara clan born into the branch had white, silver, and grey hair instead of the traditional black, and more over, very few were born with the ability to use the clans Kekkei Genkai. The Branch was small but as it expanded it began to hurt the clan's standing in Konoha, and over diluting the ability and power of the Shadow Manipulation. Thus, the clan members exile those from the branch, including all who had anything but black hair, in order to keep the purity of the Nara Clan. Bovice was one of these, born with silverish hair, and at the time he was only four. Suprisingly though, he was one with the recessive qualities necessary to use shadow manipulation of the Nara. What the Nara didn't know at the time, that those of this branch that could use the KKG were infact more powerful then those of the main branches. However, ban from the clan, they were forced to leave Konoha.

The Hokage at the time was outraged at their actions. None of the Nara Clans decisions were sent through the village, and thus each and every member of the Nara clan's 'Silver Branch' had to be declared a missing-nin. Also, the Uchiha till held power in the clan as Konoha's Military Police. Thus they were sent out with the ANBU to find and kill all silver haired Nara that had been exhiled. Thanks to the movement of both the village and the clan, all of this was done under secret.

It wasn't too long until the Uchiha operatives had found the small settlement that Bovice and his family took refuge in and the genocide began. Everyone fled as the Uchiha ANBU operatives pursuit, and they were one by one killed. With many of the members lacking the ability to use the Nara's shadow manipulation they harly stood a chance. Bovice's father was smart however. They were targeting people due to their hair color; the 'Silver Branch' was known for thei lighter, almost bleached hair. His father dyed Bovice's hair black. The next day, his mother and father left him while he slept, running away and leaving him in the forest that they had slept in that night. He was six at the time. However the plan worked and whenever the ANBU found him, the simply passed him by. Little did he know, his mother and father were both found and killed the next day. The Nara clan's 'Silver Branch' was completely eraticated, with the exception of Bovice, and it was considered one of the largest, and more successful cover ups in Konoha history.

Childhood in the shadows-

Bovice was at first filled with rage that his clan, and then his parents had abandoned him. He was naive to the situation but knew generally about what was going on. Following a merchant road to a port city in Konoha, he lived on the bored of the sea, along the beach caverns. Being far too young to provide for himself, he often begged and stole for whatever he could get. Due to his fluxuations in mood, he stubbled upon his ability to manipulate his shadow, and eventually created his only friend from his shadow. It was this shadow copy of himself that he one day developed into his Shadow Doppleganger technique.

One day, he stole from a fishing boat that had landed along the sore, belonging to a larger set man named Vann. Little did he know, Vann was a retired shinobi, fullfilling his dream of running his own market, and little did he know, he was also very skilled with a machette. Vann chased down and caught Bovice, and when he found that he was not only hungry, but homeless and without parents, he took the boy in, using the excuse that he had to work to pay off for the fish he stole. Vann soon discovered the power of the Bovice, watching him when he was along, talking to his shadow, and his shadow apparently acting on it's own. He was shocked, having not seen a power such as that since the great shinobi wars. It was obviously a Konoha power and Vann was quick to return home, in lightning country, to cultivate the boys power. On the way there, Vann personally taught Bovice the academy ninja status 'E' ranked techniques, and before even arriving in lightning country, they arrived it. When Bovice questioned him, he had told him that it was a result of needing more fish, and that the fish were best in lightning country. Bovice was none the smarter to believe otherwise and the went to the lightning country together.

-Academy-Genin Arc
It was only when they arrived in Wate Country and traveled to Kumogakure, that Vann told his true intensions. Bovice was thrilled that, at the age of nine, he could do something other than carry fish about, and they moved to Kumogakure perminantly where Bovice enrolled in Kumogakure's Academy. He only took a single year before graduating. During that year, Vann took his time to look up the power of the Nara clan, and research known abilities of the clan. When he was ten, he became a genin, but was considered too young to perform any missions. Bovice and Vann took the time to train with one another, and his shadow abilities came to exist more completely. Using what information they had gathered, they mastered the few abilities Nara through trial and error. By the time he was twleve, he had mastered B-ranked techniques of the Nara clan, and could even muster Shadow Clones. It was then that they went to the Chunnin Exams.

He was solo and thus had to join the group that he wasn't formiliar with. The first and second challenges weren't necessarily easy, but passable. A single member of their three man squad dropped out. Leaving the two of them to fight in the 1v1 rounds. He won his easily, defeating a member of Konoha. Konoha affiliates that watched on were shocked that Kumogakure had a member of the Nara clan, and so young? They then realised that of the silver branch ninja, this was a survivor, but there was nothing at the time that they could do about it. He was later assigned the rank of chunnin along with five others; One of the largest chunnin graduating classes in history.

Meanwhile, Konoha planned to finish the job, and assassinate the boy. After achieveing Chunnin status, the two men moved out once more. The eleven year twelve year old Chunnin and his master Vann, returning to the Konoha shore and the fishing business. In their closed hours, they spent their time on the beach, training the shadow abilities further. Konoha took this chance to finish a decade year old mission. The Anbu ops sent were both Jounin in rank, one Uchiha and the other was sent from the Nara. Van and Bovice were amushed on the beach of Konoha by these two men. Vann being Chunnin level himself, and much older, could only hold off the men, as the two chunnin stood up against the Anbu Ops. The Nara was killed by Vann, as Boviced used the shadow imitation jutsu to hold him in place as Vann machete him. The other Anbu of the Uchiha clan was shocked to find that Bovice had more advanced shadow manipulation abilities than his Nara partner. Vann was killed by the ANBU, and in a rage Bovice lashed out against him. But the Uchiha ANBU's experience was more then enough to subdue the enraged 12 year old.
The ANBU was so intrigued by the power of the boy that he stuck him an offer; He would allow im to live and even tell him the secret of his past if he became his personal apprentice. On the edge of death, he agreed, continuing to wear the bamboo armored clothing of his fallen master, Vann.

His natural resistance to his genjutsu propted the ANBU to begin teaching him genjutsu abilities on top of the already advaned shadow abilities. He learned that the Uchiha's name was 'Nail' and a genjutsu specialist himself. It was soon found that he was a faster learner in genjutsu then his own shadow Ninjutsu, and combining the two, he learned to transmit genjutsu via the shadows. He lived in Konoha with Nail amung the Uchiha clan and thus learned many of their secrets. When he was 15 years of age, Nail decided to tell him the story of the 'Silver Branch' of the Nara. He learned that the Nara clan had exiled the branch for selfish reasons of keeping the Kekkei Genkai pure, and then the Uchiha clan as the Military Police launching a mission to find and kill all the Nara that were forced to become missing-nin to cover-up the actions of the clan, and to prevent any of them from becoming enemies to the nation. Having been taught all he had by the Uchiha, and having his Shadow abilities far greater then anything any Nara was allowed to accomplish, only a day after learning the truth about his situations, the fate of his parents, and the darkness under Konoha, he confronted Nail, and after a battle, killed him.

Jounin Arc-
He flee the Uchiha village and returned to Kumogakure, explaining his story to the higher ups. He was considered a missing-nin until that point, but was almost instantly upgraded to Jounin status when he display the potencial of his abilities. He morned his parents sacrifice; having until then thought that the had abandoned him. He stayed in Vann's old house, and lived within Kumogakure, alone. Having lost his family, his master, and killed his other master, he had nothing but himself and his abilities to hold onto, a loyal refugee of the lightning country. In the present, he continued to take orders as a Jounin officer, with the goal of killing all other Nara, and eliminating the Uchiha he ran into. More then that, he hated Konoha, and lived containing the hatred that secretly fueled him.
